With Google’s 3D objects, you can put virtual animals in your real world.
As a publication that has been playing around with Augmented Reality (AR) for the last 3 years or so, it’s great to see AR being used by Google and others alike. The lockdown may be the time for more AR experimentation.
Whilst indoors Google’s 3D animals can provide parents and children a fun new way to learn about their favourite animals.
How to use 3D animals on Google
1: Open Google and type the name of the animal you want to see
2: Scroll down and tap on the “View in 3D”
3: Then move around while pointing your phone on the floor and wait till it recognises a base for the object to appear
And that’s it! You’re good to go. You can now enlarge the object by zooming in or, zooming out to make it small. You can also drag and drop to move them around. Happy petting!
