Devonshire Dome

The Devonshire Dome is an iconic building set in the Derbyshire spa town of Buxton. The Grade II* listed building is the largest unsupported dome in Europe and was built in 1779 by the 5th Duke of Devonshire who resided at nearby Chatsworth House.


A stunning example of heritage regeneration, the Devonshire Dome is now home to a well-regarded fine dining restaurant, relaxed cafe, contemporary spa and hair and beauty salons.


A truly unique venue, the Devonshire Dome is licensed for civil weddings and hosts some of the country’s premier events and banquets. It is also home to the University of Derby and Buxton College.

Deltalight were brought into assist with both feature and emergency lighting, using our Ultra X Down Up LED wall lights on the perimeter of the interior in the Dome.
