Victoria + Albert International Design Awards

For it’s 2nd year the awards welcome a panel of global judges made up of architects and designers from renowned practices with real expertise in hospitality design:

Beat Huesler, Director of Oppenheim Architecture + Design Europe, Basel, Switzerland. With over 26 years of experience, Huesler’s project leadership has garnered some of the industry’s most prestigious distinctions, including recent honors from WAF, Architizer, and the Africa & Arabia Property Awards.

Richard Felix-Ashman, Interior Design Director of Handel Architects. San Francisco USA. After studying fine art in London and architecture in Brighton, England, Felix-Ashman moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in design. Harmony of scale, tone and texture is vitally important to his style, something he credits to his fine art training.

Alexandra Champalimaud, Founder of Champalimaud Design, New York, USA. Her work references her multi-faceted vantage point from personal commissions in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. In 2012 Alexandra Champalimaud was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame.

Simon Kincaid, Director of Conran and Partners, London, UK. After studying Interior Architecture, Kincaid pursued a career in residential and hospitality design spanning more than 19 years. He brings value to projects by optimising layouts and creating strong design narratives.

Laura Bielecki, Senior Interior Designer at Ellington, Dubai, UAE. She has a special interest in Green Building, having gained her LEED accreditation. Bielecki has become an industry voice through her popular blog “Luxury Interiors”. In 2012 Bielecki was awarded ‘Middle East Young Designer of the Year’ at the Commercial Interior Design Awards.

Contemporary and minimal, our #WednesdayWonder is this beautiful design by @smitharcarchitects. We think this inviting room featuring the ios bathtub touches upon the aesthetics of Japanese design in its simplicity

Our #MondayMotivation is another shot of this contemporary bathroom by @jhdixonbuilders, in which the elegant profiles of the Amiata bath and basins pair beautifully with a stylish anthracite finish and matte brassware

Our #WednesdayWonder is this striking contemporary bathroom by @cannygroup. One of our most unique designs, the Cabrits adds fluidity and calm to a bathroom of black marble and mirrored walls

We love this #Bathroom!  A window taking up most of the wall is such a luxury and creates a feeling of space.  The Mozzano bath is a perfect match for such a view! #interiorsinspo #design #bathroomdesign #freestandingbath #bathtub #thatview #AndRelax
