ORGATEC 2012 opened yesterday in Cologne, Germany. The yearly trade show features furniture and products related to all facets of working and living spaces in the office. This year, it will focus on the working environments of the future, including products that increase flexibility in the way we use our workspaces.
Exhibiting manufacturers include Bene, who will be presenting DOCKLANDS, an alternative workplace structure, which can be used for temporary activities. The furniture is ideal for periods of concentrated work thanks to its effective acoustic properties and the intelligent way it partitions space.
The event will also feature Vitra, who are showing Physix, a new office chair by Alberto Meda. Physix combines a flexible plastic frame, elastic knitted fabric and an integrated synchronising mechanism.
