Ace Hotel London – 7th Floor

Ace Hotel’s enormous new event space offers six versatile meeting rooms in adaptable sizes, plus a rooftop bar and terrace.

Six fully adaptable private event spaces have been created. Though individually styled, they all have one stunning feature in common: a panoramic view of Shoreditch and the city beyond.

The entire space has been designed by Universal Design Studio and is furnished by Michael Marriott.

The 600 sq ft 100 Room is the most striking room with a high ceiling that showcases a one-of-a-kind lighting installation by Fabien Cappello. However, without its own direct access to a balcony, this room falls behind the Britannia – with a private 345 sq ft balcony.

Having said this, each room on the 7th floor will have access to the bar and terrace than runs the length of the rooftop.

As mentioned, the 100 Room and Britannia are the biggest event spaces; while the twin Empire and Griffin rooms and smaller Stingo and Bower rooms make up the rest.

Other than the 100 Room, the rooms are rather underwhelming particularly as the low ceilings are sure to make guests feel cramped – the outside space, therefore, is very much a necessity for those who may well feel they need to escape from a crowded party.

Every room is equipped with state-of-the-art teleconferencing systems, WiFi, multi-zone audio and portable projection screens, digital projectors with Mac and PC inputs or flatscreen TVs. The 100 Rom even has a 90” video wall.

The spaces are versatile and can be used for work, formal dinners, or cocktail parties. The terrace with outside bar runs the length of the rooftop.

These conference rooms, meeting places and event halls are ready to receive every professional and social occasion. And Hoi Polloi, an English modernist brasserie on the ground floor of the hotel, provides food and drink for all kinds of events.
