Collate Presents ‘MULL IT OVER’ it will feature over 80 artists, creatives, and the general public who have opened up their stashes hidden away gathering dust. CP invited people to rifle through their sketch books, drawers and hard drives to find line drawings, paintings, architectural plans, photos, prints, collages and throw them out there!
The concept is simple: everyone, artist or not, has a collection of ‘unseen’ works thought to have no identity or place for public consumption. ‘MULL IT OVER’ will also open up a path into the inspired brain, providing an alternative vantage point from that of the ‘finished’ or ‘complete’ artworks usually seen in galleries.’
Thursday Jan 12th will open the doors to the press, as well as a guest list of Brighton based galleries, creators, art dealers, academics and writers. The general public will be offered the chance to see this inspiring collection of works during the Open Exhibition on the 13th January – 17th January. Expect to be overwhelmed, unsettled and leave with an after taste of something sweet. ‘MULL IT OVER’ is THE show to see in the New Year bringing 2012 in with a giant wallop!
