Allied Works approached the site with respect to the surrounding landscape and vernacular architecture whilst they created a stunning contemporary set of spaces for the visitors to enjoy the great range  of local wines and the splendor of  natural beauty.

The architects organized the site as terraces that form a set of open as well as walled gardens, parking areas and an outdoor event space for the new tasting room.

Both the exterior and interior reveal a natural feel due to the remarkable use of wood that succeeds to create a homogenous feeling to both internal and external spaces, while it accomplishes to connect the building with its environmental surroundings.

The structure is unified by striped wood cladding that presents a new organic architectural form, inspired by the nearby vineyard rows as well as the wooden vernacular agricultural buildings found in the region.

The stripped wood cladding also allows the sun and fragments of nature to enter the space creating that way rooms that feel closer to the natural setting, making the building part of what is already there.

Within the building are three interconnected volumes with specific orientation to the surrounding landscape that offer spectacular views of the Yamhill Valley. The main tasting room occupies the center of the new building; it includes a bar, outdoor terrace, a sitting area and a hearth.  A library and kitchen flank the tasting room and offer a range of scales and spatial qualities for gathering and wine tasting.
