The principal concept behind this building was to incorporate the microcosm of the city into the form of a building.  The architects designed a school that feels like a small town, with individual volumes located around square and winding streets.

The interior of this two-storey building has two main features; the pleasing material palette as found in the light brickwork and the generous windows and openings that offer endless views to the green landscape. Windows are placed in a pixelated and lively pattern that allows natural light to penetrate most internal spaces as well as frame lovely views for big and small alike.

The openness of the building creates a bright interior as well as a friendly environment for both students and staff to enjoy.

The key and most impressive feature of the building is, without a doubt, the main atrium around of which run all the other departments of the school.

Centrally, in the atrium of the school, is located a long superstructure with a curved form which contains all ventilation systems and skylights; it is clad in translucent façade panels and double glazed windows, respectively.

This curved form is continued in the winding balconies that frame the central square of the main atrium.  It also forms a multi-purpose space for drama, music, dining and lectures and performs as an essential area which allows students to mix together and socialize. The atrium space features full height windows and skylights that highlight the fine materiality of brick as well as the elegance of light wood. This is a beautifully crafted space which evokes both warmth and comfort, making it an ideal environment for both educational and entertainment activities.
